What should I do guys I am still new with this mobile and I don't know how to fix it. Thank you for those who can solve my problem.

Try settings, applications, manage applications, all tab at the top, select maps and then clear data. If that doesn't work try uninstalling and reinstalling from the market.

I think no. My friend is also using SGS2 and he has no problem with his Maps application.

I will check also your post. Thanks.

Sorry if this off topic but I also get this error in both maps and navigation if I look up a invalid address or if the GPS is not on with a lock. Haven't been able to pinpoint the problem as it happen at random.

It did start this behavior after I upgraded to 2.3.5

Have you tried to reinstall Maps to see if that helps?

As it is only a few days old I would suggest taking it back and asking for a replacement in case you have a faulty GPS antenna.

Did you try clearing cache when you cleared data. It probably won't make a difference but maybe worth a try

The only thing I can suggest at this stage is a Factory data reset I'm afraid.

Settings > Privacy > Factory data reset.

You will erase all data on the phone memory and return it to its out-of-the-box, brand new, state.

I've read somewhere that certain regions do not work with maps properly yet.
Do you know anyone else in Saudi Arabia that have maps working on a GS2?
If so, then at least that rules that possibility out, and I would follow ironass' advice.

Dear,

You can solve this issue through downloading Google Maps 5.8 from 4 Shared website.

I had the same issue but right now, it's working 100%.

umm..i was having the same problem today..i went on app manager>maps>force stop. Then i went on the android market and updated the app. Finally the stupid thing started to work again, so you should give that a try. Hope it works! gud luck :)

I had the same problem on SG2 Android ICE 4.0.3.
Maps crashed after about 10 seconds.
I started Maps went to settings and cleared the cache. I also turned off all the options in Google Labs (settings for Maps) and now everything is working great.
Hope this helps someone.

My s2 mini has been doing this for a week and I've just cured it. Following the manage apps advice I went one stage further.....

Settings - applications - manage applications
Select the All tab at the top
Scroll down to maps and select
Clear data
Hit uninstall

This removes the last update which seems to be the problem
Also try clearing data again.

The app should now work.

Note that you can't uninstall the app itself as iT came with the phone.

Hope that works - if not I assume factory reset
Settings - privacy

Regards

Steve
