The application Market (process com.android.vending) has stopped unexpectedly.

The above message started popping up every time I open the Market app.
This started when the Android Market updated its layout.

And now I can't download anything!

Help, please?

Have you tried deleting data for the market application in manage applications? Delete the data then reboot the phone. Then go back into the market and see what happens

Same problem here. All day- long I've been clearing caches and data, turning the phone off and on, looking for some .apk, any .apk to fix this, and nothing. Even AppBrain and GooglePlay are giving me the same error. I am physically unable to download any apps to my Ally. It might as well be a toy phone for my two boys for all it's worth now. :(

The phone is rooted with Gingerbreak, and I use Root Explorer to navigate it.

The really weird thing? Literally the phone was fine when I went to sleep.

ANY help would be awesome, my phone and its handy apps run our household!
