The best camera in the world...

Reminds me of the time I was in Burlington VT on business and got stuck in a snowstorm bad enough to shut down the Burlington airport (which has to be pretty bad up there). I ended up getting a room at the Sheraton where there was a conference of PysEd teachers going on. *shudder*

In hindsight I probably should have risked the drive rather than sitting at the bar with all the high school locker room stories.

Nothing special, this was the courtyard at the MGM Signature Towers, thought the colors were nice and ya know not a bad picture for my crappy old Nexus 6.

Oh poo, I almost forgot to post this one and it's one of my favorites. We went to Stack steakhouse at the Mirage for dinner Saturday night. I ordered a "Cadillac Margarita" and this is what they gave me. It's a build your own margarita. You are given the fruit and Grand Marnier to "add to your taste". Drink already has Don Julio Blanco Tequila, Cointreau, fresh orange juice, fresh lime juice and Agave nectar ... yum yum yum.

ummm, we were doing okay until the alcohol showed up.

I can't deal with that stuff, dad wasn't a wino you understand, he only drank 3.2 beer, but he just never stopped.

I just swore off of it before I even sipped a taste of it.

No offence intended. Simply enjoy it for the taste ... yea just the taste. :D

The Fountain Formation. Named after Fountain, CO.

It is rather spectacular and even more so if you realize that its the debris and eroded material from the 2nd set of the Ancestral Rockies and it's about 230 Million Years Old. It is getting lifted up by the current Rockies which are supposedly still growing.

We used to live close to Red Rocks and wandered up there with cameras to watch for Prairie Falcons zooming in and out of the rocks.
