The Best Media Player!

Downloaded last night and first impressions are very good. :)

I note in the settings there is an option to select headphone controls so that the player will reach to inline controls such as forward, backward, volume, pause, play etc.

I haven't been able to find a set of headphones with these controls that will work with the Desire (apart from the bundles ones). Does anyone know if this player will work with any sort of headphones with such controls?

Many thanks :p

I use a set of Samsung bluetooth headphones and so far the controls have worked with all the media players I've tried. Must be something to do with the in line ones.

Maybe but thats what the chargers for :D

I kill my phone on the commute anyway so having BT on aint gonna make that much difference.

Been using this for a week or so. Streets ahead of anything else. Even makes a decent attempt at gapless playback. Final market version out on Monday 1st apparently.

I've read a lot about gapless playback, if I've ripped an album in itunes and synced to the desire will I be able to make use of gapless if this new app starts supporting it?

:o Post removed as the transparent version I made stopped the widget working which is kinda fundamental :o

Will post later once I get it fixed

Brilliant player, loud and easy to use, thanks for the linky Jay Kay,
only complaint is the widget, too damn small. why no widget like htc one, big, half screen ??????

Quite a nice app, be interesting once it's made it out of beta, i recently got Winamp for android and love i though! Had the button links i've been missing since switching from the iphone.

Think i still prefer Mixzing or MusicMod for in car use....buttons on this player are too big and Album art/Gesture panel too small.

I'm fussy i guess....

I'm liking PowerAmp a lot, the equalizer is just what I need.
I also like the fact that it's independent of the HTC Music widget, so I can have my music parked in PowerAmp, and audio podcasts parked in HTC Music, just hit the play button on either widget to get music or podcast easily. I can also play the podcast over a music backing like this too. Great stuff.
