The Case Thread post your case finds here!

Here's some pictures of my case, the i-BLASON. The screen cover is also from them, the anti-glare one. At the time I bought them, they were only available from i-BLASON but now you can get them from Amazon directly. The price ends up the same, but if you have Amazon prime, you get free 2 day shipping.

This is the one with the cover folded behind it.

I ride a motorcycle to and from work every night. I carry everything in a backpack. Things tend to get beat up in there. I wanted to take my new N7 but didn't have any protection for it yet. Then it hit me..... I reached in the sock drawer and grabbed one. Stretched it over the N7 and off I went. Not the most elegant solution but it'll do until the case gets here Monday.

Not sure if this is better or worse than the my idea of just wrapping it in an old t-shirt until my case comes in.

I kept my HTC Desire in a trainer liner sock for a while. Was fine until it overheated - though that was a problem with the Desire, not the sock :)

I ordered this case on ebay yesterday:

Google Nexus 7 Tablet PU Leather Folio Case with Stand / Free Stylus - Black | eBay
It should be here Monday. It looks like a LOT of the ones available out there with different brand names and higher prices. Hopefully it's decent quality. I'll post my thoughts on it when it gets here. For $9.95 and no tax or shipping I figured it was worth taking a chance on.

Joe

That's the same one I've got. I had to glue on my own magnet to make use of the sleep function tho. It's a good case, my only problem is that the Nexus doesn't quite fit in snugly enough so keeps sliding down. I've ordered a TPU case tho so hopefully adding this will help it stay in place.

The case that I ordered in post #373 got here early. It looks decent. Fits really well and doesn't cover any needed ports or switches. Heck, even the cheesy free stylus works pretty well. The sleep function works every time for me. For what I paid I'm pretty happy.

When you fold the cover over, does it fit flush to the back?

Not exactly sure what you're asking. Take a look at the pictures on the ebay site:

If you need a special picture I can probably do that.

Look at the picture I posted in post 354. That is my current case with the front flipped over to the back. How does your case compare when in that configuration?

OK. Now I see what you're asking. I don't think my case could lay much flatter.

The YouMee case folds flat like that: http://androidforums.com/4772723-post328.html There's also a similar case (Moko) that has the volume and power controls cut out more, but is a couple dollars more.

This is the Moko case Sycor found. It should also fold flat:

I got the MoKo slim fit as in post #391. I love it as it fits in the same pocket(s) that my naked Nexus did. Love it so much just ordered another one to stash away. Along with a three pack of generic stylus' and a micro-usb OTG card reader.

Since this is the one I got I can say it doesn't really sit "flat" when folded back. As you can see here:

On the front cover there is a thingy-dohickey (technical term) that holds it closed. When folded back this protrudes and makes it sit with a slight rise on the right, or back, depending on portrait or landscape.

Doesn't bother me though, I like the handstrap on the inside.

The Poetic Case availability seems to have gone back to the end of the month here in the UK. I have cancelled it and gone with the LuvTab carbon fibre which may be here today or tomorrow.

I have to say that I'm not that impressed with any case for the N7 as they all seem bulky. I wish there was a solution similar to the iPad front flap only.

I got a different Moko one, this one:

It has magnetic closure (no latch like the one you have), so it does sit flat when the cover is folded over.
