It does as well as almost double the weight but I'm a dropper so I need heavy duty protection lol. I'd say this case protects just as well as the Otterbox Defender minus the built in screen protector and its only 20 bucks on Amazon.

I would agree, we got our case on Monday and it is for a young teen, I wanted the protection. The price can't be beat and the color choices much better than otterbox.

Wow nice cases. I just get the lime green back on the Motorola website. Nothing fancy, but it is bright like the Moto X.

This one seems like a cheap version of the Otterbox Defender minus the screen protector. The blue one probably attracts lint but it's probably harder to see compared to the black one.

That's the case I have. It fits great and is pretty sturdy. I already dropped the phone from chest level! At least 4 times btw

The Ringke Slim case is awesome and very reasonable on Amazon. With a Prime membership the thing is almost free. One of the best cases, if not the best, I have ever owned. Maybe my Otter Commuter on my S3 may have been better.

I have the amzer tpu pudding case. Fits perfectly and isn't bulky like the other cases.
