Help The death scream!!!!

I recently unrooted using the stock restore GC01 method about a week ago. I don't know if that has anything to do with what unfolded last night. I plugged my phone in to charge before going to bed last night and left it on. At 2:40 last night a sound that sounded like a cat dying (a sound I don't ever want to hear again) blasted from my phones speaker for about 6 minutes straight. During this time I couldn't shut my phone off or do anything to stop the noise. It was the highest pitch I've ever heard and definitely woke myself and my girlfriend up and scared the crap out of us. Even holding the power down button didn't work. That sucked. This morning there was no damage to the speaker and I have no idea how to replicate the death scream and the phone is fine. What in the....?
 
I guess I could have pulled the battery out but at the time I wasn't thinking I just wanted the demon yowl to stop and wasnt thinking right:)
 
Yes. The screen turned on and froze. Then it flashed off and on after about two minutes a bunch of times and it looked like really wierd like a faded version of the regular lock screen. Really really weird.
 
But now everything is back to normal. I first thought maybe it froze right as I got a notification. But the sound was not my notification sound at all and I didn't have any notifications. So I really don't have an answer.
 
Lol. This phone is now an official beast of the underworld. It's monitoring my every move so it can try to possess me but I will win. I will exorcise this phone if I have too! Lol jk. I did a factory reset. That's the only exorcism this phone will see. Haha.
 
I remember on an optimus v that I was experimenting on, dsp manager stopped functioning and when a sounds tried to play a horrible screech that's almost like a dying cat came on and I had to battery pull... but it was rooted with cm7. Maybe sounds driver stopped functioning?
