Being that we've all been salivating over the impending Nexus release for what seems like (or what actually has been) months, it's pretty clear Verizon isn't just jerking us around over marketing issues. They knew about the timing of the release of the Bionic, they knew about the timing of the release of the Droid Razr, they knew about the timing of the release of the Rezound, and they still intended to release the Nexus last month. So there's obviously a pretty significant issue that convinced them to skip Black Friday and every uber-valuable shopping day before X-Mas since in order to ensure the issue is solved.
Not sure if it's indeed the problem with 4G/LTE or if it's a Nexus problem, but before the most recent delay I was completely willing to overlook a missing SD slot. Now, knowing there are may be some more significant problems than just form factor or a missing card slot has me concerned enough that I'm seriously wondering whether I should just hold off for The Next Big Thing. The Nexus should be a great phone, and regardless of how many ICS updates will be hitting the air next year, I would love a pure Android OS interface. But I can pretty much get that by rooting.
Just not sure if this phone and all its delays and unknowns are really worth the trouble, or if February is the next wave of new Droids that will make us all forget about the Nexus completely.
