The End of the Connect 4G (for me)

Well, that is it for me.

I have decided to also sell my device and move along to other things. I don't doubt metro will have better phones eventually, I just can't deal with the LG connect anymore.

Going to go GSM with my phone. A recent Pre-paid option has landed in my lap with T-Mobile that suits my needs well. Saved up and bought the Galaxy Nexus to go with that Pre-paid option.

It has been fun, when I create a thread for the connect on the classifieds I will link it here.

Nexus 7 + Galaxy Nexus = Nexus sandwich

Dang Mat it's not that bad. Battery Life should be better. But no phone has ever pissed me off like Samsung Indulge. Wait I did get a replacement Connect though. Still Indulge gets the title of POS.

I whole heartily agree with this. I have not had any major issues with the LG Connect 4G. Battery life isn't what it could be. But it isnt horrid like the Galaxy Indulge. I get a days worth of charge on a normal days worth of use. As for speed of proccessing, it has been able to handle everything I throw at it. Even on stock it is pretty good at what it does.

The Samsung Galaxy Indulge was a unstable POS that desecrated batteries. Even on extremely light use the thing would overheat and die in 4 (5 if your lucky). Even with K0nane's awesome work it was still crap fest, it was just a more manageable crap fest.

I am content with my LG Connect 4G, I will not let go of it for at least another year. Ice cream sandwich/Jelly bean, future rom development or not... I am standing by this wonderful phone...

I don't doubt it suits the needs of other people. It has its plus and it has its minus.
Just for me, its a tad bit too much minus for what I want to do with it. I do agree that it shouldn't be called total S**t.

Battery life wasn't as great as it could have been. I shouldn't have to shut my data off to get more than 4 hours out of the charge. I used to game and listen to music and not have to charge till I reached home. This has to be charged twice a day for me personally and that is WITH a profile setting and Juice defender. (which btw helps so much)

At any rate, I feel that this phone (for me) is hard to get real control of it. I think it is an ok phone for the service it is under. I wouldn't call it wonderful though. Just my 2 cents. Not trying to be totally negative.

I think the phone was great , I loved the screen , ICS or not , Fast , Epic , And I loved the time I spent in this time of the forum , Its quiet now , Everyone is at the LG Motion nowadays , Once the MetroPCS S3 Hits , Reunion , And I will most likely be there :) Count on it!

Ah man, this phone doesn't suck ass. Plus the people on this particular board have just been great. That can't be said for all boards here in the android forums. Unfortunately I think I too am about to have a different phone. Just because my Connect I believe as bit the dust forever and I really need to get another phone asap. I can buy a Motion a lot cheaper than I can another Connect right now. My Connect is still under warranty though and after they send me another one I believe I will more than likely be selling it, I don't need two....

The phone doesn't suck ass. It just didn't meet the needs I personally required for daily use and learning the ropes about a few things android.

The phone, when you take control of it, is actually pretty good. But, dat battery.

The extender battery was too huge for my liking. I used the 1900 mAh batt, and it gave me a few more hours.

Its still wasn't enough for me personally.

Currently selling the two I had. When the S3 drops I won't be getting it until some of those discounts start to show. I haz no moar monies.

My Connect pisses me off. Some days it's great and I get a full work day out of my 3850Mah battery, and some others I get 4 hours before it's dead without even picking it up. It also randomly heats up in my pocket, I have to power cycle it to get 4G back and it doesn't work when I REALLY need it to, like using GPS or needing to google something. It's heavy, clunky and all of my apps that updated themselves to work for JB users now slow my phone to a stupor. It is a great phone spec-wise, I want to like it as much as I did with my Optimus M, but there are just too many issues with it *cough*BATTERY*cough*. I don't think I will be buying another LG device. S3 is on my to-do list, but I have this major hatred for Samsung to overcome first LOL... I'm hoping somebody will at least try 4.X ICS or JB with the Connect!!!!!
