The Excitement Thead

So now that I ordered it, how long do you think it will actually take to get it. My google play receipt says I paid for 2 day shipping so according to that, I should have it friday. My guess is that it will end up taking a lot longer.
 
The problem with order processing must have been serious enough that Google changed their shipping schedule. After being told on the phone yesterday afternoon that it was too late to cancel, late last evening I received an email that since I had 2 identical orders only a few minutes apart they wondered if it was an error and gave me options to cancel the order(s) now with a 24 hour limit. Good move Google. It just didn't make sense when they wouldn't have enough inventory to meet demand to have units going out that were not even wanted. I was able to cancel one of my orders and have that confirmed so that tablet is now available for someone else to enjoy. They had a built in cushion since my order placed on the 13th wasn't going to be shipped until the 15th so maybe after the problems occurred yesterday they decided to use the time to correct the orders before shipping them.

Now if only I could convince them not to get rid of iGoogle....

If you go to the Play Store and then to My Orders & Settings you will see a shipping estimate date. I think everyone's says the 15th. If it doesn't ship until then it would probably be Monday before we get it, unless they have Saturday delivery.
 
Thanks for the info. I was looking all over for shipping information. That is the only place to see it. Looks like we should see tracking info once it is sent.

Mine says the 15th. But my confirmation email says they won't charge my card until they ship it. They charged my card just 30 minutes after I ordered it yesterday. In fact I got the email from the credit card before I got the confirmation from Google that I actually ordered it.

I'm hoping the 15th is the expected arrival date, not the let's put it on a truck date.

Mine card was charged immediately, but I use a debit card and that's how it has always worked for me. I share your hope. :)
 
That would be great if it were true. I would love to have it for the weekend. I haven't heard of anyone receiving tracking info yet, so I'm not too hopeful about a 15th arrival date.
 
I received a shipping notice and tracking number about half an hour ago. Not sure where Canadian orders are actually shipping from. I'm guessing I'll have it Tuesday.
