Help The Focus box on my camera just disappeared

this is ridiculous. it just disappeared out of nowhere. i'm thinking i might just return my droid x

This may be totally off track, but I make no assumptions. I looked for my focus box for awhile before finding that it turned off if you select the faces option.

all you have to do is disable the detect faces option in the camera menu... start camera, press hard menu button, deselect auto detect faces and focus box returns.. I had this problem too!! hope this helps... Droid X baby!

I noticed mine disappeared, but its nice to know now how to restore it.
