The Four-Word Song Lyric Game
So here's the idea/rules:
Post four words that in order appear in a song's lyrics. Such as "sage, rosemary and thyme."
The first person to correctly identify the song (in this case, "Scarborough Fair") wins that round and then posts their own four words.
Here's the catch: while you can use "other sources" to pick out your four words (and you should, since people sometimes remember lyrics incorrectly and that would make it kind of difficult!), it's not fair for purposes of this game to use another source to try to determine the song from someone else's four-word post. So no quick google/bing search just to "win" the round: it's got to be "all you".
Now if you're clever (sneaky?) enough to pick something really obscure, so no one gets it, then come back in an hour or two and post the next word in the lyric, either front or back of what you already posted, such as "parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme" and if it's still not answered later, add another. If you get to six words, then also post as a clue the genre, "rap," "soul," "acid rock," "country," etc. (Hint: if you pick a rap song, I'll never 'win' that round...)
Obviously, the more obscure the song/lyric set you choose, the more challenging it will be. Staying with the example above, if you pick "rosemary and thyme" someone will get it straightaway...but if instead you chose "no seams nor needlework" it would likely take a while.
Final rule: If you pick lyrics that arguably apply to more than one song (hey, it happens) then people are going to guess and if they don't get yours, then reply with some encouragement (what does that word mean in this day and age, anyway?), add a word and kick in the genre as above.
Sound like fun? Okay, then, let's play.
