I don't think thats true but it wouldn't surprise me. V know's how to generate buzz and move hardware in spite of their expensive plans.

HEHE, if it is not about getting customers, then why even say anything. That is not a good plan.

Some times the best way to see if you have a good plan is to place it into context with other plans.

Sprints wwII plan.


March 23 1944.

Dear Hitler

On June 6 1944 we, the allies forces, will invade the main land of Europe specifically at Normandy. You will know the invasion has began when we start to bomb you just after midnight on that above mentioned date and full land force will start just after 5:30am Berlin time.

We will use the following deployment:
1,213 warships
4,126 transport vessels
736 ancillary craft
864 merchant vessels.
175,000 men


We will attack on the 5 beach front, see attachments. We do expect to catch you off guard with a behind the front line airborne drop. But where is our little secret, but I can tell you the passcode is thunder/flash.

We do extend this letter to you and the rest of the military as a way to get the military industrial complexes attention, so you and they know that we are not just siting on your butts doing nothing. After all a good attack plan is one that everyone knows what is coming.

As you clearly see we have really plan this plan out. And just soo thrilled to attack you with this new plan.

I thought about the idea of fainting an attack with Patton into italy, to drawn you from west beach head is a clever move, but it is only a idea. If it starts to look like it will work. We will let you know in the next few months on any extra details.

While I'm on my soap box. Can someone explain to me what the purpose of the NYC party is? I mean come on it's not like they are Apple with their drones that follow every little thing they do. Did I miss the V Incredible unvieling party? What am I missing. This event won't be covered by anyone except tech people. This release could end up being a white paper for marketing companies of what not to do. I thought they fired the Pre advertising agency.

What issue do you have, with Sprint teaming up with a new Disney, to leverage it for advertising & marketing purposes?

Sprint is fighting for life right now.

Regardless.

Enacting a plan in which you gain nothing, and lose everything is not a plan. It is what happens when plans fail.

If you do not gain any customers from the plan. And you give every detail to the enemies in time frame they can start changing plans to meet you.

You just gave them every tool to beat you, and gain nothing out of it.

That is a bad plan.

Those 175,000 men took a 4 year old entrenched beach head.

Hilter had 350,000 men waiting for them. Including the 5th and 21th panzer. If Hilter would have even thought it was remotely going to happen. D-day would have failed soo badly that you would have lost all of the troops and equipment. It was a hail mary pass.

If hilter knew we where coming, it would have be a massacre. Instead, all his generals where out reach, and most of the defense was on leave.

He was expecting patton from the south, and russia from the east.

He had no clue the pain that was coming.

Why do I care again? Oh right I don't, if I wanted to be a history major I wouldn't have wasted 4 years majoring in computer science. Now that said put your sarcasm hat on like a good little boy and stop taking everything in such a literal context.

As far as AT&T, sucks to be them I guess. I've heard too much Steve Jobs mambo-jumbo to even care anymore. As far as the cellphone revolutionary war, viva la revolucion!

Even if sprint releases the EVO before the iPhone, it won't make any difference as we all know that thousands of overzealous apple suck-ups will even buy Steve Jobs's poo if he would sell it to them.

the iPhone will always out sell despite its inferiority (people bought the iPad for goodness sake). and even though apple seems to be pissing off more and more of their devs each day, it is hardily likely that the end consumer will even know/care.

although if apple keeps crap like this up (Apple Gets Nasty With Adobe Over Flash - PCWorld) they wont have many devs left soon...

i really do hope that the EVO gives apple a run for their money, but i think that is just wishful thinking at this point...
