The HTC EVO 4G off-topic Banter thread

Nope, this one did it too! I'm starting to think there's something in my truck making it do it... I had it for 2 days around the house and it was fine, I got in my truck last night and it did it! (I'm a truck driver) so I'm starting to think there's something in my truck causing them to act that way! 3 evo's all doing same thing, I don't know... Any ideas, please let me know, called Sprint, they said go to a Sprint store and swap again!

what are you talking about?
 
I've had 3 Evo's now and they all reboot themselves, completely shuts off! And like I posted I want to know if anybody else has had the same problem.... or if anybody has any ideas on what could be happening.
Sprint has no idea, just keep swapping phones!

Using a task killer?
 
I uninstalled it, still did it, also uninstalled some of the other apps just to be sure, still did it. I've had this one since Tuesday and its done it once, we'll see today

A friends phone just started doing that. He has had his since right after launch day and it worked fine till now.

What apps are you loading?
 
Basics, advanced task killer, lookout, stuff like that, on this one I haven't even really set it up yet because I'm afraid to get to comfortable and then have to swap again!
 
You are switching phones.... but are u using the same memory card? Maybe the problem is the card

i had ATK on my phone just to see, then uninstalled it, that is when mine started rebooting about every few minutes. had to do a hard reset of the phone
 
Just got my EVO on Friday, upgrading from a 4yr. old Treo 755p. I have been playing with screens and reading many of the posts on this forum but I am going to have questions the more I use it.

Well, after much hassle in returning my first Evo to Radio Shack because of the screen issues, I finally got my replacement - the WHITE Evo. She is so sexy and I haven't even turned her on yet; charging the battery to full first.

YAY!
 
Mine started rebooting today, right after the first time I used Bump. It locked up the first time I tried to use it after using Bump, then rebooted, and has rebooted a couple of times since. Never had a problem before.
 
I don't know if it's a factory reset or what, I just wanted to know if anybody else was having the same problem. Like I said mine only does it while on a phone call... Usually on important ones!
 
Mine rebooted once randomly when I was in a heated text triangle but never again since than..... The question I have is how often do you guys turn the phone off ? Mines been on for days and I normally let it go for a while
