The idiot test

total guess....

WHO was the president in 1950... Harry S. Truman
WHAT was the President's name in 1950? .... President of the United States (POTUS)

Is a zebra white with black stripes of black with white stripes? Bonus internet cool points if you can explain why.

guess: because it is 50/50 shot..

white ... with black stripes.

guess at reason.
white hair ... pigment is added to make it black. therefore.. white first.

First part right, the second part is how you determine the first part. Where they don't have stripes they are white. ;)

Corn wasn't genetically modified. It was more of a selective process that produced a superior corn. I called out uncle and let google tell me. I had no clue.

I came up with a tomato but there may be an underlying twist to the question which I'm still clueless of the answer.
No twist, just ancient history.

Wheat. The stalks naturally would harden and break when they went to seed, exposing the seed to the ground and rendering it useless for processing. A naturally occuring genetic mutation caused the stalks to not break (which should have caused extinction since the wheat wouldn't reproduce) making the mature seeds available for harvesting and processing into bread and beer, which ultimately led to the ability for hunter gatherers to congregate in the earliest cities.

steps out from behind the boring history lectern. :p

Three traveling salesman happened upon the same quaint inn on a lonesome night seeking lodging. The proprietor, wife of the inn owner, was already in her bed clothing. She sent her husband down to deal with the salesman. He charged them each ten dollars for a room for the night which profited the inn thirty dollars for the night. When he returned to his wife he told her of the transactions. She called him a fool for charging so much and gave him five dollars to return to the salesman. Realizing the linguistics of the credit he decided he'd give them each a dollar and keep two dollars for himself. Now each salesman paid nine dollars which is twenty seven dollars and the inn keeper's husband had the two he pocketed making the total twenty nine dollars.... where is the missing dollar?.

Fairly easy. Ask a question that most everyone SHOULD know the answer and see if anyone guesses the answer correctly. Then please be kind enough to post the correct answer the following day! (Or feel free to acknowledge a correct answer)
An example: Does England have a 4th of July?

Answer: Yes. It also has a 3rd of July, a 2nd of July, etc. just like the rest of the world.

So my question for today is: How many birthdays does the average man have?
Way to silly.

Man at the hardware store.

Man: "How much for one?"
Clerk: "$2.00"
Man: "How much for 12?"
Clerk: "$4.00"
Man: "I'll take 122"
Clerk: "That will be $6.00"

Explain.
