The Last "TOS" Star Wars Movie...

well more like Disney needs the money (NOT!!!!!), since Lucas sold the franchise to Disney. i'm sure he gets some kind of cut into the money pie though.

i think i will wait until next year to buy tickets to see the movie:cool:

Today I had a whole IMAX theatre pretty much to myself. :)

"“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker” is expected to be the biggest film of the weekend globally, with an estimated opening weekend of $170 million to $200 million in North America alone. But in China, it’s on course to be the weakest-performing installment of the new batch of “Star Wars” films."

just bought tickets for the imax laser 3d showing today. not really sure what laser 3d is all about, but i'm super stoked. it is weird though as the only showing is at 430pm. no other show later on. i find this odd, but whatever.

it is at the AMC theater. they added new features to their premiere membership which i just renewed. i was able to order my drink and popcorn ahead of time. all i need to do now is show up before the show and before the selected time to get my popcorn and drink.....add this feature and their very comfortable reclining seats, I'm a huge fan of seeing movies at AMC.

.......i'm so looking forward to watching Star Wars!!!!!!

may the Force be with you!!!!!!!!!

just got back and man that is the way to watch a movie. i was the only one to buy popcorn and drink in advanced. everyone in my row was like WTF is this?????? i did not have to leave my seat nor did i have to wait in line to buy my popcorn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

as far as the movie goes, it was a perfect way to end the last trilogy. it was beyond better than the Last Jedi.

one thing guys, if you can get there during the trailers. Christopher Nolan's new movie Tenet has a prologue extended trailer. it is 6 minutes long and it is F@cking Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

edit:
i guess it is for imax movies only.....go see Rise in IMAX it is well worth the money and for the Tenet trailer

I didn't see any lines for the popcorn, although there were only 4 people wanting to watch this movie in the nice IMAX theatre. :D I did order my popcorn and large latte at the same time as buying my ticket for Star Wars, using Wechat. When I want to see Aquaman in the same theatre, it was full.

The movie itself was great, definitely worth going. :)

Tomorrow(Sunday) is apparently the last day for it in the cinema here.

Honestly thought it seem like eight movies crammed into one giant one, but it was a nice balance, but honestly.
I Factory Restarted my brain, and end up hurting my first idealism of wedding with my wife, I did talked with my families and made sure everything was alright, both where at the same store. So it was a matter of seconds though, I cannot believe on how lucky my mother in law is so understanding of myself heading over, with my siblings too. I wept like a newborn duration of _____ death though.. I wept like half of the time.. But we will be eloped soon.. I still feel messed up on the date though.. Still it was my twerp of mind that concealed my lines duration of uttering it though.. But it was my birthday..

I liked it well enough, and I was in movie theaters in 1977... so I have followed this story for the entire 42 years. It was a nice wrap: certainly not perfect, not by a long shot... but JJ did a good job of rescuing the story from the botch job of Episode VIII.

I still meet people who have never seen any of the Star Wars movies, but express interest in it. I always recommend that they DO NOT watch it in numerical order! Especially the first time around! It's a modified machete order and I recommend:

Rogue One
Episode IV - A New Hope
Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back
Episode VI - Return of the Jedi
Episode I - The Phantom Menace
Episode II - Attack of the Clones
Episode III - Revenge of the Sith
Episode VII - The Force Awakens
Episode VIII - The Last Jedi
Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker

This maintains the suspense and intrigue of the original trilogy, which the prequels would destroy. Going back and watching the prequels afterwards gives backstory and insight into who's who and how they got where they were. Doing that also creates a passage of time between Episodes VI and VII, which are about 30 years apart. I didn't include Solo because I found it to be a monumental waste of time and money... but if you HAVE to watch it, then watch it first, before Rogue One.

VIII you meant with JJ right?

Rian Johnson did The Last Jedi and was flamesprayed over it... although I blame the screenwriters more than Rian for it. JJ directed The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker.

Well, I can't help it that I'm in good with JJ and Disney/Lucasfilm and I'm 4 movies ahead of you! 13 is awful, too...

:p

Thanks, good catch - those Roman Numerals... it's all Greek to me...

I could tell you about it, sure, but let me save you a lot of misery and expense: the wedding would be cheaper

:D
Hahahaaa... Well did pop the question at the last day she was there in August. Saw her back in November.
Ah just another fly to the wall, who needs em anyways? Better off playing my video games :)

Uh, WE needs 'em! I don't know... after 29 years of marriage, I actually can't imagine a day that I don't wake up snuggling with her, and going to sleep snuggling with her... of course, we're both Navy veterans and pretty much "damaged goods", so we make great sparring partners. All day. Every day. We're addicted to each other in a healthy sort of way!

I know I'm over-insured because she's always trying to help me across the street. It's the INTERSTATE, for crying out loud!

NSFW - you're warned now!

As an example, we were watching TV (rare for me) and a string of commercials came on... including one for that ED medication with a man and woman, holding hands, while lying in separate bathtubs. I have never understood that - it's stupid! Anyway, as the commercial got to the point with all the warnings and health advisories, I told her "you know, if I have an erection lasting more than four hours we're going to be busy."

She didn't bat an eye or miss a beat, but immediately said, "no, if you have an erection lasting more than four hours, YOU'RE going to be busy..."

:p

I love that woman LOL

Awww sounds like my girl and myself :) Thanks for the confortable words man :) Cheers.

I know I kid around a lot, squandered nearly ten solid years after my break up with Karen, I was just flirting and keeping it download with another girl named Kendra who used to bowl with me at the bowling alley way down here, Alma I knew her family first, her mother and her siblings off the bat, I am really ready to marry that girl :)

Me either! Where are they that has outdoor bathtubs? Is it a good thing, like a retreat where they're being pampered, or are they really poor and living in the woods? Where does the hot water come from? Where are their clothes and towels?

So many questions--aside from WTF do outdoor bathtubs have to do with ED?!
