The little things you love about the Inc

So sure, there's all the obvious things like the great camera, the fast processor, or the Sense UI, but what are some of the small things you love about your Incredible? I'll get 'er started.

  1. Take the audio cord out, audio playing stops. MAN that's convenient when I get out of the car.
  2. Accessing different kinds of volume from the side buttons.
  3. Text selecting via the little optical button. Hell of a lot easier than just using the touch screen.
  4. The combination stopwatch/clock/alarm/weather thing.
  5. Turning on/off stuff through the power button switch. Again, just speeds stuff up.
  6. Having a clock on the unlock screen.
  7. Being able to add ringtones from anywhere. Coming from a dumbphone where the only way to get a ringtone from your PC was either BitPim or MMS, this is pretty awesome.

Just stuff off the top of my head. Go!

Sexy jet black, slim, PERFECT size, LED flash and notification, stellar camera, VZ, absolute customization on almost every little thing.

too many things, but off hand:
1. screen is amazing
2. size and weight is perfect (x is too big personally but a great device)
3. single device, i now use it as my exclusive mp3 player, no more ipod(im eliminating all apple products from my life)
4. true multitasking. i love having my music n navi running at the same time in the car
5 and most important. its on VZW

im sure i can go on, but i dont wanna make a huge long post lol

1. Rock-solid performance. Rarely do you find a smartphone with as few mannerisms or glitches during day-to-day use.

2. Size to performance ratio. All the features of the larger (EVO4G/Droid-X) phones in a light, slim, pocketable form-factor.

3. Network. Even if I found another phone with all the features this phone has, if it isn't on Big Red, it would be a compromise.

1. Love the backs design. Very different.
2. Operate MP3 player without having to unlock the phone. HUGE PLUS for me.
3. Verizon
4. Not lumped in with the iphone tree hugging hipsters

When I zoom in and reading text on the internet the more I zoom the bigger the text gets I don't have to move it to the side just keep scrolling down and all the text is there.. So EFFIN amazin.. I use hate that in the Ipod when I was reading a lot of articles I couldn't zoom in on characters and if I did I would have to scroll side to side..

Incredible is awesome to read with...

-Ringer quieting itself when you physically pick up the phone
-Sending certain contacts to voicemail automatically (:P)
-A non-recessed headphone jack (I had a friend's old iPhone 2G that I carried around with by Blackberry)

I'm coming from a Blackberry, the really bad touch one, I wont mention its name, you know it...What I continue to love about my Incredible is that navigating throughout the device, you can get just about get anywhere by 3-4 different ways. I just love that. I knew it was a keeper.

I love that if I have a question, issue, or just a need to know about the Dinc, this forum is here with almost every answer you could ever want (assuming you know how to work the search function). I am on three other Android forums, and I have to say that this is the friendliest one.

Other than that, I love that I can talk to the phone to get it to do things I want it to do and it understands what I'm saying 95% or so of the time. :)

Internal speaker has great volume and good clarity. This is handy for hearing your ringer in a noisy place but also great for podcasts or listening to tunes when a headphone isn't handy. This is one of the biggest reasons I didn't buy the Nexus 1.

Flipping the phone over when ringing to mute the ringer for an unwanted call without ignoring it.

I know this is an app but I love package tracking on this phone. It saves my tracking number and once I press track I can shut it down and it still sends a notification with blinking led to notify of an update to the status and as in just a few minutes ago, that my 32gb VZW Micro Sd card had been delivered. Awesome. I also like the FTP program and the phones ability to save files to and from my home NAS unit over 3g. I also love Remote Desktop on this phone... the best I have ever seen. I like the way the phone fits in the front pocket without saying "How you doin" (New York Accent). I dont have one complaint aside from where is Froyo.

1. Copy and paste!
2. When you are on a call, the screen turns off to save battery. You move it, and the screen comes back up.
3. Fu*k the dam Sense haters but those weather animations are INCREDIBLE! (e.g. when it's lightening).
4. The accuracy of the voice recognition. Vlingo!
5. The accuracy of the touchscreen even with a thick ass screen protector on. Ask my old WinMo 6.5 device how bad that sh*t was.
6. Press and hold home button. MULTI-TASK BABY!
7. How the Contacts pull in all the info. from Facebook.
8. The Sense Music Player's lock screen widget. So damn flawless!

What exactly does this mean? "Text selecting via the little optical button. Hell of a lot easier than just using the touch screen."

Also, how do you copy and paste?!

thanks!!!

To copy and paste, press and hold on the text that you want to copy. A menu will pop up, also two little green sliders will pop up. If you didn't capture the exact text you wanted by pressing and holding then you need to drag the sliders over the text you want. Then on the menu that popped up click the copy. Then go to a text editor (ie. gmail, docs, etc.) long press where you want to past it and another menu pops up and press paste.
