The Long Awaited AT&T Froyo Update Fallout

I went back to 2.1 that I had backed up. Couldn't stand the nuisances and performance of 2.2. I'll wait for a new device in a year. And, it won't be a Samsung.

Can you tell me how you revert to 2.1 after upgrading to 2.2? I have Titanium Backup (paid version). Will that do it? Or do I need to download the 2.1 ROM and flash it?

Everything is faster on 2.2 than 2.1.

There's no doubt 2.2 is faster. I've harped on this more than once. Android is an Operating System. You can install crappy apps that screw up your performance and use memory. I think most of the performance issues Android phones have is a result of operator error and not understanding how your phone works.

Which update instructions are the ones to use AT&T or Samsung?
Everyone says this is a slam dunk, but no one says exactly what is getting slammed or dunked.
