Root The Moment has been rooted!!(?)

I don't mind that it's there but I do mind that I can't take it off without doing risky hacks on the phone. Why make it so complicated to get the dam thing off? Anything that's a demo should have a "remove this demo" feature in the settings.
Cause sprint probably got paid money by the makers of bejeweled to not remove it.. most companies do this..
Its like the ultimate advertisement space.. hell it is like a billboard that YOU ACTUALLY have to pay for..

Yes, the instructions for rooting the phone contain a step where the fs is remounted r/w. If you don't want to read the instructions, use the mount command without any arguments to get the device and options, then do a mount remount command with the same options to get it in rw mode.

I removed bejeweled, nascar and nfl apps by removing them from the /system/app directory. (I just moved them up to the parent directory so that I'll still have them if I ever need them for something.)

If I already have pda net (on windows 7 was a little tricky to get it installed but that was finally done thanks to all of you :))

I would like to remove the sprint apps.. do I just go in like you would a normal computer file system and are they easy to locate once the moment is synched with my pc?

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

You have to gain root access to remove default loaded apps... the boot loop issue was more then likely due to us remounting the device as read-write without ever remounting to read only.. giving write access in the system folder is dangerous and probably the reason i kept getting a loop error... since the new root is loaded via the kernel update and you have to manually remount RW and then RO i have yet to hit the loop again

So now that this thing is rooted and devs are working on it, do we have access to (and instructions for dummies) for the big 4 cracks?
1- customs roms (I know this has been covered. Don't worry about answering this)
2- connecting the moment as a pc modem (pdanet? How?)
3- removing those pesky sprint apps (how?)
4- installing apps to the SD (is this even possible yet? If so, how?)

1 - Yes.. but it doesn't look like 1.6/2.0 or 2.1 will be coming anytime soon since we need some stuff only samsung has access to
2 - Wifi tethering is almost fully stable
3 - Already gone over that in depth.. not wasting my time to explain
4 - this is worthless since we have a ton more space avalible then HTC and other android phones... if we ever get close to running low then maybe it will be brought back up

Just trying to compile these main things.
3 If you don't mind... all I want to know is where is it covered?
4 I'm down to 36% of my ever-shrinking phone memory remaining. Though I will gain some back once those Sprint apps are gone.

3. it is covered ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
You posted in a thread that has all the reference and links you need...
4. k? 36% of the available ram is still a ton.. plus zef already refused to do it so someone else has to
