The Note is a Palmtop, not a phone or a Tablet

The Galaxy Note, Galaxy Nexus, Motorola Atrix etc are Palmtop computers which run phone applications as well as many others. Apple has called it's Palmtop a phone but that doesn't make it one or that others should follow suit. Tablets are laptops without a keyboard and are too big to be a Palmtop.

Well my note has a antena a speaker both in and out for conversation, sends and recieves cellphone signals. Thes are physical, mechanical instruments that are part of my note that makes it able to "make a phone call". That makes it what it is, a phone! It also has ability do do 1000's of other things to but that doesnt make it any less a phone. Applications that run on computers and laptops that give them the abitlity to make a phone call dont make them phones.

Just because one of the many things it can do is make phone calls doesn't mean you can ignore all the other things it does and call it a phone. For many people, including myself, the amount of time I use the Note as a phone compared to other uses is tiny, so why should I call it a phone rather than a Palmtop computer.

I agree totally, palmtop is the best term for Note. I think that every Note user uses the other functions more than phoning. For me the most important areas are internet, videos, music, messaging and gps and the least: phone
