Hey guys, this is my first time here so i'd like to start by saying hey to all. Anyhow, I recently got a LG Optimus M form my sister as she moved on to getting an Iphone and I've had it for a couple months. One dreadful day, i found out that my phone went into safemode so i went looking on the internet and found out that i needed to reset it. At first it worked fine, but then a few weeks later, it started up again. Even when i resetted it, it would turn back on into safemode again. I continued to search until i found my second problem: key pressing. I read that keys aren't supposed to be pressed while the phone starts up but it's the opossite for me. Mine won't turn on unless i press a key. I've left it as long as overnight but in the morning, it would either still be on the LG logo screen, or off because the battery died. It's really weird and if anyone could help me, that'd be greatly appreciated

Help The O-So-Hated Safemode

I have 3 OM's and one is stuck in safe mode too. But also the search and menu buttons are switched around. The only way I got it out was by holding all four hard key buttons while turning on. But no restore or attempt at custom recovery has worked. Apps dont work right when in safe mode and not in safe mode. Sometimes they dont install, or just don't open. I gave up on it really, but it just sits here anyway.
A friend gave it to me to fix, or try to fix but I cant find any info on safemode for this model either. I once got it to factory reset and rooted. But now even if it does get out of safe mode (holding all four buttons while starting) it doesn't work right and apps dont install or work. Odd. I ended up giving him $4 for the battery (and phone of course) lol.

Trying putting a custom rom on it
I've posted this issue in a couple sections, it won't let me restore using QPST or LGNST and can't seem to get custom recovery on it. I didnt do much trying and gave up since my other 2 work, but I will try some more I guess. If i do fix it, I'll to many M's lol, maybe donate to a dev that will keep up with porting for the M...
yeah i read that in on other posts as well. Think i posted that I would consider donation if can be fixed. But I want to be sure the dev who gets it will atleast try to keep us "as up to date" as we can. I'll do some more reading and messing with it to see if custom recovery will work.
