The Official "I got mine" thread.

Can one of you go into Menu> System Settings>About Phone> Hardware and does it say dualcore or single core just to prove one way or another for people who still don't think it's dual core.

There's a guy on the Evo V 4G facebook page who posted pics of his with Sprint branding as well. That's rather funny.
 
Keep us updated with pics of it in your hand or on your desk, and your opinion on how it runs, feels, etc. I don't know about anyone else but a detailed review would be freaking awesome.

I'll have the money next week and am HOPING that they'll have stock by next weekend so I can get one. I'm still on the fence about dropping the 300 on it, love my OV but I yearn for a large screen!!
 
I am in MN, I got it from the Richfield MN store, they received 4 and sold out in 30 minutes. I had called this morning and they said they would call me and hold one for me if they got in today.
 
We have decent WiMax coverage here in MN I believe, I ran speed tests twice in speedtest.net
On 4G:
5327 down 799 up
6972 down 1117 up
On 3G:
959 down 462 up
801 down 443 up


It has Wifi Hotspot in Quick Settings, wonder if it signs you up for the $15 plan if you enable and use it?
If you go into Settings and Usage it has a bar graph that shows how much data you have used, with a warning at 2gb and a red line for 2.5gb. I think it might just track 3G, because I updated all the apps and added google+ etc on 4G and ran speed tests and it showed only like 600kb used. 4g was off by default. I then turned off 4g and ran a bunch of speed tests and it says 6.76mb used now. 5.76 from speed test app.

I keep hitting the wrong buttons since the menu and info buttons are swapped on this compared to the Optimus V.

Maybe that means 4G is unthrottled :p

I hope so, I ran a few more tests with 4g on and it didn't count it. Although they could always patch that in the future too.

For Storage space under settings Internal Storage:
Total Space 1.11 GB
Apps 201 MB I only updated the ones there and maybe added google+
Available .91GB

Using the SD card preinstalled
Total Space: 7.2GB
Available 6.97GB
I will probably swap my 16gb from my other phone in later.
You can also enable storage encryption for the internal or sd card.

Darn Grand Theft Auto 3 doesn't show up in the play store for this phone yet, I had purchased it on the original Atrix 4G. Maybe will have to figure out how to sideload it.
 
I really think 4g is not being tracked. I listed to pandora for 10 mins on 4g no update in data usage. Turned it off and went to 3g and 30 seconds later it said I used 8.32 mb instead of 6.5.
 
They're are claiming no Evo's in the entire Milwaukee and surrounding district, and they believe they may be available in-store in 10 days.

Oh, well.
 
Will appreciate if there's a video review =). I would like to ask, is it like same as for evo 3D? I am wonder to buy an Evo 3D case before I get my hands on it.

I went to radio shack and got one today at 4:30 est in Ohio.. Ask away on this handset.. It's awesome so far over the OV but it has 1 Meg of internal memory a 8 gig sd and and 1.2 dualcore.. Very nice IMG_20120601_184923.jpg

Radio Shack in Winchester, VA had them in stock this afternoon. Said they only had a couple pre-orders and that they had extras to sell. They weren't on the floor yet, but the sales guy was friendly and went into the back to break down their pallet with the shipment without any complaints.
 
I went to radioshack and got mine. They're having a lot of trouble swapping my triumph from the 40 dollar plan to the 45 for some reason. So the support charged my card 80 dollars top up, and I have 2.76 left. Then they said they'd call me back 2 hours later. This was at 9:30 and it's now 10:54 PM. Let's see if they actually call me back. He took at least 30 minutes trying to figure it out and then talked to a 'specialist' about it. Even they couldn't figure it out. Has anyone else had any similar issues?
 
I wonder what the QC was like on this phone since the demand was so high. Hopefully they checked them thoroughly before shipping. Don't need another MT fiasco.
