The Official "I got mine" thread.

Had a ZTE Warp since January. I got so tired of the constant reboots. Would have liked to stick with Boost cause of the shrinkage but the Design seems so inferior compared to the Evo V, and it costs the same. Anyway, went to Bestbuy, and they had one black one left. I gotta say, this phone is very nice. Everything about it is so much better than the warp, and though I thought the 3D sounded gimmicky, it's actually pretty damn cool! BTW, I did check out the One V they had on display. Didn't like that at all, I can see why it's cheaper, looks and feels like a toy compared to the Evo V.

one of my buddies bought two of the one v's for himself and the wife. i played around with it for about an hour. and i agree with ya lordj. entirely too small and cheap feeling. and my huge hands completely envelope the phone

I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'll be picking up an Evo V 4G at the end of next week. It'll make my third phone in a year.

The Triumph was a nice introduction into Android. I came over to Android from WebOS. I had a Pre on Sprint for nearly 2 years, and it ended up breaking on me. Rather than signing up on a major carrier, I grabbed an Optimus V.

Went in a few months later and grabbed a Triumph for the screen size. I've never been completely happy with this phone. Tons of light leaks, the back capacitive button quits working from time to time, need to hit home, then it'll work. Occasionally waking up the phone will cause the backlight brightness to max out, and completely wash out the screen in whiteness. And worst of all, typing anything is a painful process. I feel like I have more typos on this 4" screen than I did with my 3.2" Optimus V. It's actually caused me relationship problems. People say I neglect them when they text me now, and it's true! The screen responses are horrible - all Triumph users know what I'm talking about. The only thing that got me through it were ROMs.

So I can get a new Evo V for about $220 with discounts, and tough out the added $10 on to my plan. WIMAX isn't great in my area. It doesn't cover my house, but it covers the main roads a little. I need an upgrade though. After activating a customer's Evo V the other day, the much improved glass, Sense 3.6, qHD, S3 processor and native ICS, I'll enjoy it a lot. I'm waiting until quad core LTE hits the United States to get a dealer line on a major carrier, and this will at least be a good enough phone until that happens. Looking forward to seeing where the development for this phone goes too. I'd love to get naked ICS on it.

Welcome to the party!! :)

I pretty much went down the same road as you. Unfortunately, I also had a ZTE Warp & I also became extremely frustrated with it!! I am defintely in a much better place now!! :D

Guess why my Triumph is going on sale today? Yup! :D

I've got a black, Virgin branded Evo V 4G. First black one I've seen that actually says Virgin instead of Sprint.
