I do not drive anyways, I have bills to pay just like everyone else.

I guess that's one of the benefits of being retired. I can sit around all day in a pair of Walmart sweatpants and an old T-shirt in our paid for house. We do still need to pay off the Boss Lady's car. We've got 2 payments down and a bunch to go, but she got over 250,000 miles on her last one.

I reside in one of the most expensive places to live in the US. When I was working, we had people driving 60, 70 or more miles to work (often 2+ hours each way!), because at that distance they "could afford a house."
A former senior pastor at our church would have said of that situation, "You don't own your house...it owns you!"
