Hi I updated the BBC news app a few weeks ago, and I hate it and I mean I hate it big time.

So I found the old vision (2.5.2) so if anybody would like it here it is. Just download and install

Where did you download it from though mate? Be aware it could be loaded with malware

the page was put up when the news app was last updated (v2.5.2), been using for a week and all is fine, but if your not then please don't download it

I unfortunately had to remove the APK attachment.

While sharing an older version of a free app seems innocent enough, the BBC (and a lot of other content creators / developers) don't generally take kindly to folks distributing their stuff without explicit permission. We can't afford for them to come after us (as a forum) if they decide that we've crossed the line.

And, as @funkylogik said, it's good to be especially careful anytime we download APKs outside of official channels.
