The sound of ...?

I'll give another clue now, and in eight or ten hours I'll post an "extended mix" of the recording, which together should (hopefully) give it away. The shortened version I've already posted features only one species...

Kaat likes it, Rev thanked me for it, but neither have made a guess...

...should I be thinking in terms of what to record for my next sound?

Well, I had a couple of ideas yesterday, opportunity is all I need now. I guess I have a week after my first post of the sound, as per Kaat's instructions in the rules...

At 10:15pm (my time) the week will be up, and I'll hopefully have another sound ready to post for y'all to guess, unless someone manages to guess what the current one is.

I'm not really surprised nobody guessed the sound listening to the original short version of the recording, but when you hear the extended mix, surely you can hear the second species of FROG right at the beginning of the recording. Whilst I'm not totally sure what species that one is (a common eastern froglet, I think), the one that has a clicking call is a striped marsh frog. My problem now is coming up with another sound. I have an idea or two, hopefully tomorrow morning I'll be able to record something before I go home from werk...

Wait THAT was a frog!? I've never heard a frog sound like that before. Dammit General!
