The Tablet Tavern

Our general manager is going to be in Cork next month, tagging along as his wife is there for training. He's looking forward to the golf.

I could spend a month on the Thalys going from Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam and back.

My wife has an Uncle in Saltzburg and an Aunt in Graz. While Salsburg was charming, they are too hung up on Mozart. Graz was infinitely more interesting. The one city we've never made it to, but is on my list is Prague.

Prague is awesome dude, if you like architecture and history you'll love it, spent a week there a while back, lots to see, if your not fussy about where to stay, it's cheaper out of town with good cheap access into town, or a shortish walk :thumb:

So much to see... How about Rome? Iceland? North Cape in Norway? Barcelona? Antwerp.

Barcelona is great, didn't think much of Rome, sights were nice but the shopping sucks.

We only spent a day in Barcelona. Nice city. Food was great, went through the markets and saw the Gaudi (sp) architecture. The historic district is fun but mostly filled with shops.
Not really a place I need to see again but pleasant nonetheless. :)

you shop?

I do indeed, when there are shops worth shopping in.

Great weather, was there for a week, went to the zoo, beach (dude they have an ice bar on the beach!) castle, etc I'd much rather revisit Barcelona or Prague than Rome.

Come here, we got plenty of knock-off designer label shops, and all the counterfeit Ferrari mechandise you could ever want.

That's just it, I don't want :p

Chain stores are eay too common and boring. Give me individual independent stores and I'll take a look around.

Me and the son on the Heineken tour a couple of years ago ...
