The Tablet Tavern

So, my wife texts me this afternoon saying she's working an event with some celebrities (she's in catering). I say who? Comes back to me with: Seth Macfarlane, Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson!!!!
I totally nerdgasm'd and call her saying she has to get a photo or autograph from NdGT, my man crush. She said the crowd was so big around him, she couldn't get close. :(
Ah well, fun for her. Wish I was there. :o

Hey guys! So I am looking for a cheap tablet, hopefully something cheap..

Acer or something. Needs to have good battery life, possibly in the $99-180 range? Please pm me for good suggestions as I'm not on all the time anymore, but please reply as well so others can benefit :)

Thanks in advance!! :o:thumbup:

Weight is not a major factor, but I'd rather it be as thin and light as possible.

I'll PM the same, but for the benefit of the general AF population, here is my opinion.:)

The Nexus 7 is a great choice. As far as you 99-180 range, look for places doing clearances on the Gen1 N7 or folks selling them. They are rock solid devices with high end specs and will take most anything you can throw at them. If that isn't up your alley, you are within $30-60 (16GB-32GB) of a new, gen 2013 N7. Again, a great tablet IMO.

I would get them, but I'm on that Taco Bell budget :(
