The Tablet Tavern

We loose power a lot here in the mountains. You can't see the flame in the pic, but this thing goes all winter. If we loose power, it's our heat and cooking. Have enough water stored for a week, and we start collecting precipitation as soon as we can. Longest we have lost power for was 8 days. My kids call it "playing prairie" lol

Ever watch "Life after humans"? If they are right in their estimates, without a constant utility infrastructure, most of our developed land would be thrown back to nature in no time.
 
Well they are done with the drain field, hole all filled in hay and grass seed all spread on the ground. Now to wait for the final inspection by the county, and they will hopefully show up early next week, though you can never tell with them. My question is, "What exactly is the inspector going to inspect, that the hole is filled in?". Is the inspector going to walk in and say, "Yep, it's all filled in and has hay and grass seed", and make a note and head off? I get the inspector looking at the exposed tank and the drain pipe as it was put in, but the final seems kinda silly when it is all covered up.

For the suggestion is great. There's actually an app out there that I have been having fun using. The top 100 people known as scouts will actually receive the actual phone. I have been trying to get good pictures to inspire the Ara.
 
Not gonna lie, this bread is pretty darn good. Nice thing the lady is working tonight, she doesn't need to know anything about it. Evidence: buried. :D
 
Okay, I can only down a couple slices. :o
There will still be plenty leftover. Still have most of a loaf of whole wheat sandwich bread from work too. We're well stocked in carb land. :)
 
I did some liquid carb loading earlier. At the P!nk concert tonight ! Can't wait for her. The opening act is definitely on my never need to hear ever again list - The Hives. Hope everyone is having a good night!

Home with a modest case of dehydration after a nice night out in Rotterdam. We had Belgian and Thai beers, red wines and mojitos. Oh, and a great Thai BBQ too.

I spent my 29th birthday building an addition to our little Cape Cod house because my wife was 4 months pregnant. That was pretty special. :)
