Classic Nor'easter. A wussy storm from the South rolls up the coast, funs into som cold air from the north, and turns into snowmageddon. 50+ MPH winds and accumulation up to 15" for my area. 2+ feet for folks in Maine.

Make it stop:bawling:

Edit: the weathjerk just said accumulations up to 4" an hour.:afraid:

Let me know when your annual snowfall is 3800" a year. Also it sounds like mother nature trying purge the earth.

Sounds like you did everything right. I hate giving the government an interest free loan

Yeah I didn't get any back because I didn't have to pay any in the first place. I'm on disability. When I was working I would always get a refund each year, though not a huge one. Yeah it is just me paying to much during the year, but it is always better than having to pay at the end of the year..

Ah, ok. Sorry to hear that. Without getting into specifics, long term? In all seriousness I'm working very hard to keep the checks coming. And they hit me every paycheck.

How do you fill your free time?

Whelp, back to work today. :(
Should be fun on about 2 hours of sleep since we got back from the airport so late. Was a nice temperature shock as well. :p

I feel bad for my ups guy. Insurance sent the check for me to start replacing everything in my apartment. I'm going to order as much as I can through Amazon prime

Maybe some pretty flowers will help cheer you up?
(I got these from friends that came over for dinner last night)

Yeah on long term disability. Luckily I paid for Long Term disability insurance, and I recommend that everyone opt for that when offered it in their optional benefits package with their employer. Having that really saved my butt.

I am working on getting better, so I can get back to doing work like I was doing if possible. Not sure how well I would do on a completely vertical ladder with having a prosthetic leg though. It didn't happen often but I have had to climb them to get on top of a building, in order to access things like duct smoke detectors in air conditioning units or CCTV cameras that were on the building's roof.

I may end up going back to school and get the piece of paper I need, to switch over to an IT job. This wouldn't be hard as I already did a lot of this stuff as a technician anyways.

My employer pays for short term and long term and I love having the security.

That's cool. The company I worked for has awesome short term disability that is paid for by the company. I was on it for six months. The long term was optional, but only cost a few bucks per paycheck and is well worth it.

I really hope to get back at it. I really like being a service technician, and doing troubleshoot and repair, and being able to do work in places that most people don't get to go into.
