The Tablet Tavern

A lot of people around here are nervous to go to a movie now. I won't go if it's at a time when things will be busy. Staff check the emergency exit several times during a show now. I watched a guy go into the doorway of the emergency exit. Three of the local college football players smashed this guy into the ground, movie was stopped, and police showed up. He was taking a phone call and didn't want to miss anything.

Anyone know if there's a setting in Control Panel with Win 8 to turn off the touch screen? It kills me if there's a piece of dust on it I try to wipe with my finger and now I'm scrolling or doing something else.

Maybe in the settings of the hardware. Maybe there's an option to rollback the sensitivity of your screen there.

Oh, fun maps. :)
How many have you been to?

For me, I'm seeing 7 though two are the same (Blue Ridge Parkway).

trying to set up eprint on our new HP eprinter. unfortunately, this model has no display and thus I don't know how to find the eprint email address to register with Google cloud print :( it's an old model but the newest one available at the mall. Parents bought it without any of us with them. But there is the ePrint sticker on the printer though...

We got a wifi printer at work and no one knew how to set it up. I could not for the life of me figure it out. Ended up just using the cable for the 2-3 times a week we gotta print stuff. If we printed more at home (maybe 2-3 times a YEAR) I'd look into one, but the standalone that basically came free with the last computer is fine.

Not sure how these watering holes work, but as it seems "anything goes" I should be alright, lol. Anyways, I have a peculiar dilemma in that I got the paid version of Swype for my phone and love the theme, but for some reason it looks different on my 7" tablet, and actually NONE of the Swype themes really look good on the tablet. So I am just wondering if I can "hack" a theme from Go keyboard or Swift Key to use on Swype. I remember from my avid video game days that you could hack certain things across different "platforms" and I just thought it might be applicable here. Really not a big deal I know, but seeing as I payed for the thing you'd think I could find a theme for the keyboard that I like, lol.

LOL, yeah, these watering holes are pretty much anything goes. They aren't a good place for support just because the questions get lost between vacation plans and soup recipes.:D

I would ask in the Themes forum (Android Themes - Android Forums) as I've seen some creative things done to all aspects of Android in there. If there is a way to accomplish what you want, I'm sure someone in there will know how.:thumb:

I see what you mean, I'll check it out and come back here when I have a good recipe to swap, lol:D

Hmm, for some weird reason that fun map image Bread posted won't shrink to fit on my browser. I'm using Google Chrome by the way.

EDIT: Looks like I'm having the same issue with larger pictures on AF in general.

EDIT 2: Never-mind. Got it fixed under "Edit Options" in the User CP. :)
