The Tablet Tavern

They finally have a smaller order but it's still huge. I eat maybe half of a regular order. It's my one indulgence of the week. :)
And they're everywhere around here since the place started in Arlington, just outside of DC.

Wow, looks like they have a few locations in the UK!

Why don't you go to the movies? We love it and go almost every weekend. :)
Still need to get out to see Godzilla (was waiting for the crowds to die down). I think X-Men, we'll wait for Netflix/Amazon. May see A Million Ways to Die in the West if the lady wants to.

It's pretty annoying in theaters nowadays in the Philippines, especially during the first week of a movie run. So many people. Long lines, loud boisterous people. Unless you go to one of the more posh places, where people are more well behaved.

Yeah, can't stand talking in theaters, kills me. Unless it's a blockbuster we go to the "posh" places in town where folks are there to have a good time and WATCH the movie (and they serve beer and wine!). Ya'll wanna talk during the whole thing? Watch it at home. :p

LOL true. I actually want to try out a posh place here called SM Director's Lounge. It's kind of like one of those private showings. You get a room with nice lazyboys/couches, food, drinks, and a supposedly kick ass entertainment system to watch the movie. Awesome for watching a movie with family or friends, as if in the comfort of your own home. :D

It's expensive

I haven't been to the movie theater in probably a decade. I will make it to a drive in about once a year though.

I certainly prefer sitting, lounging on our couch with whatever food and drink we want. Surround sound and a decent tv is nice too. ;)
But, if it's something we're excited about, the theater makes a nice touch. Seeing TDKR and Star Trek at the Nat'l History Museum which has a HUGE IMAX is fun.

I like going to the movies, but if it's a popular movie, I'd rather wait a few weeks so it's not so busy. I hate being crowded in with a bunch of strangers.
Or, go at odd times. Like the last showing on a Sunday night you'll almost have the theater to yourself, at least around here.

That's one of the reasons I avoid going to the movies. And it's not the prices of the tickets themselves, it's the price gouging at the concession stand. I don't like crowds either. The last time I went to the movies was when Ninja Assassin was still new.

I buy at the fastfood and not at the concession stands lol. They allow bring your own food anyway. Lol.
