One of the tasks Staff here at AF has is to help our great members get assistance right away for their stated issues. When a new member begins a thread, and that first post is made by her or him, there is the opportunity to attach a prefix to the new thread:
If you have a tip to share, please prefix your post/thread with "TIPS."
If you are seeking a tip, please prefix your post/thread with "SUPPORT."
If you want to post about any accessory (battery, headphones/earpods, cases, etc), please prefix your post/thread with "Accessory."
If you want to talk about anything else related to the device, coming OTA/upgrades, prices, news about releases, etc, please us the "GENERAL" prefix.
Often we're seeing the "Tips" prefix used by members who are wanting tips/tricks/support/assistance rather than having and offering a discovered tip to the community in that device area.
Oopsie.
Staff has to go around finding those and changing from "Tips" to "Support."
For a while, I was going around to all of the device forums and placing a sticky about that common mistake.. but we just don't need "instructive" stickies cluttering the device areas when there are so many great stickies needed for help with the device, so I removed them.
Well, maybe this thread will help a bit.
