Picard, more of an educated man, knows his Moby Dick and Gilbert and Sullivan, loved Data, Worf and Picards rendition of a "British Tar", not only that but Patrick Stewart is an actor in another class entirely from William Shatner, Picard continues his fine standards as a Shakespearean actor in the West End and at The Globe Theatre and he acts for his passion and love of his profession. Shatner on the otherhand went on to debase himself in many Trek micky takes as well as playing dumb idiots such as in Miss Congeniality for the sake of bringing in another paycheck.
