Root the ultimate super noob guide to using roms?

Hey guys!

I was wondering if theres a guide on how to install and use roms (what apps are needed etc.) and such cus im an uber noob in this whole shindig.

Ive seen this rom which looks pretty cool and i would like to use it =P

In light of the recent got and cn-mods, this thread needs more love. I'm sure there are a lot of people in the same position or they kind of know how to do it, but are scared of messing something up without a step by step guide (like me)
Is there anyone that feels like making the world a better place and writing a quick step by step tut? Thx in advance
