***the "unofficial" ICS update caused problems thread.

So like everyone else I assume, I rushed out to update to ICS on May 16th. I had a phone that ran pretty smoothly on gingerbread, especially once I switched to the fabulous GoLauncher and disabled Sense. But now with the update my phone has turned quirky again...GRRRRRRR!!!

1. Constant power-downs during messaging.
2. Power-downs after taking photographs, causing pictures to disappear (and way too much time delay to try to "recapture the moment" after the shut down.
3. Loss of being able to turn GPS on and off in the mainscreen pulldown in the quicksettings area.

Otherwise I like the upgrade but any help or problems you might be encountering would be greatly appreciated.

I posted in another thread earlier about how I've had power down issues and now a bricked phone. I can't say for certain that is related to the ICS update but the issues didn't start til after.

Called Tmo customer service and they had me go and clear some kind of cashe by holding the power and down volume buttons...

So far so good, been a whole day without a single crash yet.

i didnt like ics went back to gb. much happier

Looks like its "fixed" ....no crashes no funny business since I reset the cashe...

Back to crashing out when I take a pic....and losing the taken pics...gonna put another camera app on to try...
