The US Senate voted today to allow ISPs the ability to sell user data without permission

Back in October, the FCC put some rules in place that would require ISPs such as Verizon and AT&T to have customer permission to sell their data. According to the FCC, this data includes "precise geo-location, financial information, health information, children's information, social security numbers, web browsing history, app usage history and the content of communications."
