Help The usual "cannot install in folder" error

So, I have an S2 for about a year and a half, time in which I changed OS for about 3 or 4 times, installed big games and other apps.
Now I have 250 mb on the internal storage out of 2 GB, and 5.7 gb out of 11 gb on internal USB storage.
Now I'm running Jellybean, and for some time I can't download anthing else, no matter the size, it won't install, it would give the typical "cannot install in the specified folder".
I've tried some of the fixes on the web, but none worked. I tried deleting the google account and then re-adding it, I tried to change installation folder but I can't figure out where is that option in the storage menu, cause it only illustrates the used space and available space, and I only have an option of formatting the USB storage.
I've tried clearing space on my S2, but I literally have nothing else to uninstall except 2 games that take roughly ~500mb. Is there no way to clear that space without rooting my phone?

Hello and welcome to Android Forums ZaDrugLord! :)

Yous is not an unusual problem when updating I'm afraid to say. Perhaps a read through, "Firmware update problems... what you can do!", may help and doesn't require rooting.
