The wait. . . The wait is killing me!

Got my baby about 3 hours ago. She sure is pretty. I love the feel of the pleather back :)

My note 3 in black is coming this afternoon I will be home to receive it from FedEx driver. The micro Sim I have in my note 2 is an older style microSim .. not sure if it even has NFC capabilities, I understand the new ones do.. That Verizon Sims got an upgrade? My question is should i activate my note 3 with the new SIM card or should I use the old one in my note 2. How hard is it to do if I was to activate with the new SIM card. Do I have to call Verizon? I'm thinking I would. Not sure what the big deal would be I guess if I just use my old one to activate it. Just want to make this as easy as quick as possible. Thank you enjoy everybody can't wait for mine.

You don't have to do anything, pop the old SIM in and you're good to go!

The wait is still killing me!

When I ordered the phone, a typical idiot CSR told me to order it as a new line and just cancel it when it arrived, and activate it on my unlimited line. Which is what I did.

Except that it couldn't be activated over the phone because the new line number is attached to the SIM card that came with it!

So now I'm off work and am at the Verizon store to get it activated.

Never even turned it on!

Argh

Congrats to everyone who got their new beast!

Han, what did you expect?! ;)
Was a little weird that when I got my G2 the other day they immediately put in a new SIM rather than taking it from my S3 (same size FWIW). No issues on my end but I imagine Verizon just likes playing games.

What? If you order it on a new line, you can just turn on the phone and it would have activated, then just swap out the SIM cards.

That might have worked, except my old sim card is a nano (crapple 5).

But everything is squared away now.

This phone definitely lives up to the hype!!!

Simply beautiful!

Yea this phone blows away the note 2, and that was by far the best phone I've ever owned. No reception or call quality issues either. Looks like a winner!

This phone ( Note 3 ) blows away the S4 as far as lag goes. I had MAJOR lag issues w/ the S4 when visiting certain websites, w/ the Note 3 there is no lag what so ever.

I had a Note 2 as well & I'm amazed at how much lighter the Note 3 feels. Very happy so far :)

Hey Han
I was going to activate the phone under my number with the new sim card
I put my wifes old sim card into N3 for now. So what you are saying in effect
is I will not be able to do this? Love the friggin' phone also!

Not necessarily. If the new sim card is assigned to a different number (like mine was because I ordered a new line with its own number), then you're going to have to go to the store and pick up a new sim card.

If you upgraded at full retail and they sent you a new sim card with no new line attached to it, then you're good to go. Just pop it in and activate.

It was neither. The phone is my wifes upgrade and I am assuming the sim card in it has her phone info but I have not tried it yet. I just put her sim card in from her old phone.

Well, I am very happy we all have our Note 3s now! Yep, it's a beast, it's a beauty, it's a beautiful beast!

Now that we all have it, the wait is over, and this thread can now close. It's been great and all thanks to all participants. Now let's head out into the other threads in the forum and get to the task of enjoying our phones! :)
