Root [THEME] Android 4.0- Ice Cream Sandwich v 1.0 (Velocity 1.2)

I'm new here, but about the whole "sdcard/velocity/morphs/manifest.txt No such file or directory exists" error thing, I got that too but I typed 1 anyway and then hit enter and the file to change theme popped up. Maybe try that? Lovin the theme by the way! Great work!

Actually. I reflashed a 3rd time. I dunno what the problem was but it seems to have worked itself out. Lol.

Also, the theme looks awesome! I like the version with big number. :)

Love the fonts!

Issues I am having:
Notifications dropdown - All messages are white on white. All I can see is the icon of the app and if I highlight I can read it but this is not ideal

Status bar - All icons including all battery status, wifi, signal level etc did not change. I do get blue text for the clock and notification text though.

Any Ideas?

You have a bad download, or a bad application. Re-download the theme, and retry the application. Make sure no weird errors come up while installing.

redownloaded, reflashed and got the same results. I tried to go back to the velocity 1.2 theme and it looks like all it changed was the wallpaper. ICS fonts and icons are still there. the only error I see when the theme change is running is "Gmail not found" I had to uninstall gmail and reinstall it at one point in the past because it quit working so maybe that is causing problems?

I cannot replicate this issue. Not sure what's going wrong.

Probably just going to reload velocity today anyway, Might have been another theme I loaded at some point the hosed it up. I tend to screw up my OS a lot. Will let you know if it doesnt fix the issue.

UPDATE: Did a fresh install of Velocity 1.2 and the theme works fine now. I think it was a theme I applied in the past that was not done using velocity scripts that was tying things up.

Velocity and this theme have made me fall in love with my Ally all over again, lol. I'm due for an upgrade in January and it makes me almost sad to get rid of it.

side note- is it just me or is the messaging icon a litttle too big?

it's straight form ICS. they just made it bigger. Compare it to the Gmail app. I thought the same thing, lol.

j2cool,
another thing for version 2 is to make the clock font not bold in the notifcation bar. not sure how you do that, but it's not bold in ICS, though it has always been bold in the ally. not sure what you can do.

Getawoo how do you properly load the battery icons with numbers? flash from recovery or using terminal?

use the ICS theme i uploaded with the big numbers in your velocitymorph folder and do it through terminal. don't use the one with just the graphics

If only we could get a working ics rom... aosp just released the source 0.o
Maybe sometime in the future

Would be nice but I will be shocked if any ICS ROM gets to Ally. Would still be happy to have Gingerbread working. Never know though, less people are using this as their primary phone so maybe more people will be apt to experiment and get something working.

Just a little bump, no i have not forgotten about this theme...expect V2 soon...Expect a lot of V2,,,.....shhhhh....

If I load this theme, then use Velocity Scripts to remove my notification clock, will that have any negative effects?

It should not.

I downloaded the theme and noticed that it replaces the services.jar when flashing, which is where the no clock mod is. I can see the mod one of two ways...the script either pulls the current services.jar and makes the mod. Or replaces the services.jar with one that's pre-modded. I'll have to look into the scripts and see how it does the no clock mod...or go ask over at the Velocity Scripts thread.

The jar just colors the clock. Since you're getting rid of the clock anyway, it doesnt matter. you can flash no clock after the ICS theme, and all will be well.

really wanna get this theme but when i type velocity into terminal emulator it says it cant connect...i've tried maybe 10 times and it wont let me change the theme without connecting. any idea what im doing wrong?

i should add i'm getting the bionic very soon so its not all that important, just thought it'd be nice to hate my ally a little less for a couple days.
