to bad you can't do it like the old days..just get a hex editor find the code line and edit it but them days are gone if that's even possible
what file holds the info for the keypad..

im running on #2 with plague...runs good it might be the way you installed it...try flashing the theme under recovery it did the same exact thing to me played with it and got it to boot its how you install you got to treat it like a woman ; )
try to do everything from recovery don't do in menu cwm it tends to be stupid like that sometimes

maybe you can use the guide for the keyboard that SU linked to but see if there is a file just like the one in the guide withing the apk itself?? that would be my guess

Actually Im rebooting now, just started playing with it again. May have got it dunno yet.
Hopefully will have an update out tonight...I themed the living crap out of contacts and the phone.apk lastnight. Added a thing or 2 to MMS. Hopefully I can get this keyboard to change

dude ive been messing with it too trying to find a fix for you but this shit is harder than i thought!! i wonder if you have to change the one in framework and something in HIME.apk...but if you change the one in framework it will change all of the keyboards...maybe...dont quote me on that lol

Told you Ahaha I changed literally every color to white in the values>colors and values>styles. I found another line in the layout, flashing it now to see if it will work.
I did tho, get the "suggestion/prediction" words to change to white tho

haha well ive only been messing with it for like 30 minutes...but i did change the text in the popup to white though lol. I was using a stock HIME.apk tho so when i press the keys a little white bubble comes up instead of the popup being white with the black letters lol. i never use the lg keyboard anyways tho...i was just trying to see if i could help you out

No ldrifta needs it white too.
Ive gone thru literally close to every XML and changed anything that says text color to either @color/white or #ffffff and everything looks great except for the keys wont change. When you press them the pop up has white letters tho. Gonna look thru it all again and see if I missed anything....again
