Root theme fro X running 2.2

"[Theme] NexTheme V2.1 for Droid X (8/16/2010)
This is a port of Manup456's NexTheme for the Motorola Droid X. It is meant to be run on the .604 update to Android 2.1."

Doesnt this mean it wont work with froyo?
 
I don't think old themes will work. This is just my guess, seeing as how you couldn't even upgrade to 2.2 without removing themes first. I know I sure as hell am not gonna risk it until I hear about other people's experiences. Hopefully the theme devs will get back to us :)

They wont work until they are updated. I tried and bricked. Oooopsy
 
From experience

Unless someone posts a theme stating that it is for the Droid X with Froyo do not install themes.

I tried and ended up with a boot loop twice and had to use the sbf to fix.

So for now just leave the stock theme.
 
what about the black status bar and notification tray? those are just replacing the files with different images so it should work, correct?

I though the same thing so I tried it and got stuck with a weird boot loop. Part way into the animation where it says "DROID" on boot it would freeze and start over from the start of that animation sequence again and again and again...you get the point.
