Root [THEME] - Galaxy S3 Based - Galaxy S3 Stock With Extras **Last Build**

Shit lol, How'd you root it with kidallstars? I tried and then I updated the su binary and it popped up for root privileges and I tapped yes and it just stayed at "Gaining root access" forever .-.

i downloaded the apk he posted then flashed the zip file he provided and then i opened superuser and updated binary and thats all lol it got rooted.... your not supposed to update superuser from the play store..
 
Root method shouldn't have anything to do with force closes. I'd try wiping cache/dalvik, mount system then flash. Just as a precaution may fix permissions before rebooting. Unless there's something wanky with updater script.

I tried that... but as I said I think its the root because when using pg's root method I get pure fc's and no status bar (lol I even uot'ed a fresh theme without editing it) and it still fc's but when I use kidallstars method it works...
Can someone just try kidallstars root method and try the theme and tell me if there's any change

I'm stuck, I did everything in order and when I go to update the su binary in the preferences it does everything then it says "Gaining root access..." and then the prompt comes up asking to allow or deny and I hit allow and after that it goes away but the updater stays at "Gaining root access..." is it supposed to do that?
*edit Okay, so I did it and its rooted, however the theme is still force closing everything

Well that's where I'm confused ... :confused:
Idk what to say now... I will build the theme from scratch today and give you guys like "Betas" and such ... because I really want this theme out there
 
Well this is weird. Your jelly bean theme worked perfectly when installing. I tried this sgs3 theme but when installing the settings fix, cwm kept saying "installation aborted." Btw i had the system mounted and everything. Any idea whats up?

Did you format cache and wipe dalvik cache...
Also your supposed to install the settings fix first then the theme

Maybe because I rooted it with PG's method first or idk, but I'm sure its my phone with the problem, I'll try Diego's CWM backup and report back
 
I was thinking about doing that, and even Diego's backup didn't work
edit* I flashed Apex and the theme and it worked ^~^ and it looks really awesome...I'VE NEVER CAME HARDER IN MY LIFE
 
got a question,in instructions it says ti install settingsfixG3.zip but when i download the file it is named settingsfixS3 so is this the right file?I keep gettting fc loop with this and the jb theme.
any ideas?
