Root Theme Request for Liberty 1.5

you'll have to test this for me.
there was a color visibility issue so i turned the entire system text the color code the original developer recommended. then left the stat bar text white like he had it in the pics.
now we could also turn the stat bar text that color as well, or leave it alone.

basically figure this as a test and let me know what direction youd like to go with it or if you want to leave it alone.

Faber wow thank you so much! You turned that around so quick! I won't be able to test tonight but will install it tomorrow and give you feedback then? Is that cool?

P.S. I will be sure to give the original dev props. Maybe tom108 will get to this theme tonight before me. ;)
 
yeah, its all good. im not running it; so i expect there will be some thigns that need changed....just let me know and we'll work through it to a good final product. :)
 
Gonna have a second, more modded version here soon.
Its zip aligning/optimizing right now.
 
some people may not like this, i kinda changed a few things around. i guess its not just a port over direct. changed the system color, pop ups, menu background, stat bar colors, ....thnk maybe thats it. also zipalign/opt.

i may run this one tom. and see if i notice anything.

please report back if anyone else does and sees anything that needs work.

I could use the changes from t the sec ond version an d turn text back to white and avoid visibility issues that were in original. Well, basically I can do anything you want to it....lol.....

EDIT: Do I need to install this from stock Liberty? Only thing I have right now is the circular battery mod. Thanks again brother!
 
Update. Installed version 2. A few things that I've noticed so far and would like changed are.

Battery icon is gingerbread type and not like the one pictured. Can that be changed or is it better to have this one? Also what are the battery increments?

I prefer the normal system font, I personally don't care for the one in the theme.

There is some sort of strange (((((.))))) showing up in the notification bar to the left of the 3G icon. Was curious what that is? I have wifi and GPS off.

Would like android market to use normal color/fonts. The yellow does not look good with the green android market imho.

Those are some immediate thoughts off the top of my head.

battery: yep we can change that to any one you can find. ill have to go back to the original thread and see if any of his downloads have that icon in them. not sure why this one is different then the thread pics.

the strange sign is because your phone is on vibrate, i didnt know what that was either a while back.

the android market yellow is actually the system itself color as the market is not themed in this (or i removed it, cant remember which).
so to change that I have to change system color, which is easy enough (thanks bouchigo)....so whatever color you want in the market is the color the whole system will be (not the status bar stuff).

- so lets do this:

- what battery icon do you want? (ill still look back at the original thread)
if you can point me to a theme with the bat icon you want we can add it, or i can still research in to original theme pic.

- what colors do you want text/clock/notification/etc. in the status bar?
the yellow or white or ?

- what color do you want the entire system text color? (this includes the market) (now that ive made the changes from the original on some pngs i think we can go back to white if you want, without visibility issues).

the first theme was basically just a straight port with some color changes to help visibility issues. the second had more work in it.
- we can keep working on it tell we get what we are looking for, then once its all honed out start a new thread with a final release version. it takes time sometimes to get everything worked out, but doesnt bother me any as long as i have time.

OK will try to sort through the list here. Thanks for pointing out that the phone is in vibrate mode there. Did not even realize it man lol. Sorry about that!

As for the battery icon, Id like to have the one shown in that thread I linked to. There is a picture of it in the screenshots. Yeah for some reason it did not show that one, it showed the stock Liberty one. If for some reason you can't get it, you can use the good ole yellow circle battery mod. As for the status bar, I really like the yellow, it was a nice touch. The yellow custom themed lock slider is nice as well. Set it apart from other ones I've seen for sure. Hope that can still be included as well.

System color text I guess would be stock? I would not mind yellow, but it did not look good with the green market and yellow text. It made everything hard to read as well. Would it be possible to have yellow text in just the text messaging app? If not, please do not worry about it. Im used to the standard white from the aosp messaging.

Im a minimalist at heart and I keep things very simple and basic on my phone. If I missed something here or if you have more questions, fire away. I will try to see if I can notice anything else the meanwhile.

Arghhhh. i am running the liberty battery fix mod so i cant theme since it changed the framework.

Thanks for your hard work and efforts on this. I should have some time tomorrow to install and scope it out. No worries on your decision to move to another ROM.
