Just wanted to confirm that I have not run into this issue. After flash there were several hard lock ups in which I ended up having to remove the battery but everything has been running without issues for the past 3 days. Handcent and stock messaging app are there as well as previous threads.
 
I loved this Rom back when it first came out.... but always noticed that whenever I rebooted the battery would drop like 5-8% every time. Is anyone still experiencing this?

Potentially wrong thread, lol, but that problem should have been fixed by now :) Phone only drops 2-4% instead, similar to the newer Android phones.

That happens from time to time when it gets overwritten. Android Keyboard/LatinIME was themed, and on occasion the phone doesn't like it when you flash a new version of a /system .apk over an old one. Try wiping dalvik-cache, /cache, and fixing permissions - if that doesn't do the trick, then try wiping /system, flashing the de-odexed version of Sleipnir, then immediately flash Black Ice over it.
 
Flashed the theme and love it! Great work on theming the elite for us, I have a question though... Is there anyway to make the backgrounds solid black in like the widget picker window and the power menu? Think there was one other also, but just wondering if u could
 
i had flashed this rom a few times but i always had problems with it rebooting constantly so i had to go back to harmonia. It sucks cause i really like the look of this rom.

Never had an issue with this rom, I suggest maybe trying the deodexed version on a clean install possibly lower the default clock speed. Not all roms run the same on every device, make sure to fix permissions and if you use this theme make sure to follow the instructions. :)
 
This may be a silly question, but since there are lots of versions listed in the various posts, would it be possible to list the differences between them in the original post? For example, what is the difference between I and II, etc. The screen shots look great but I can't tell which ones are included with which versions.

I'm running the Deodexed version (VM).

Post #40 is the newest version and includes screenshots, all previous versions are depreciated.
 
Thanks. Downloaded from the link you had sent me. It looks great! Will play with it over the next few days and report back. A minor nitpick: The text messaging app uses 2 colors (or perhaps more) to easily/visually break up the messages. The blue color is quite dark - please consider lightening it up a little - perhaps add a touch of light gray? Not a major issue, but the first thing that stood out. Better yet, invert the colors to keep with the rest of the theme (black background/white text and DARK blue background/white text).

I'm not a designer by any means, so apologies if I offended you - that is not my intention :-)

As an aside, which message app are you using in your screenshots? It looks much better than the stock one.

Edit: May as well add more feedback :-) Any chance that the background could be black (no pic, no pattern, etc) on the main screens? I'm currently going to do it via the Wallpaper, but it's nice to have the default as black in this particular theme.

Glad you're liking it for the most part as for requests for changes its difficult to tailor a theme for every individual. If you're interested in making changes have a look at my theme tutorial /tools thread. Oh and no offense taken at all. :)
 
Thanks for understanding Starkraving. The comments were meant to be feedback for the entire theme - not for my benefit per se. I've been playing with it for a while and have customized the background, etc. In any case, your hard work is truly appreciated :-)
 
Ran into a small UI bug using Navigation (Google Maps):
Start Navigation
- select "Speak Navigation"
- say something ambiguous like "Street"
- It responds with "Did you mean...". The menu below is black on black text.

Doing this from memory. Let me know if you want more info.

A minor issue (not a bug): Hard to see the mail icon in bright sunlight (use a black/white one instead of grayscale?). Also, in contacts, the non used tabs (grayed out) are very light - almost impossible to see at night. Not sure how this would be remedied.

Thanks for the feed back. When Artine updates the rom I'll be sure to include a fix for that.(small xml edit)
