Well, this has been an ongoing problem. I have tried to contact the creator of my theme, the keyboard, and even the thread of the ROM itself, and still haven't come up with a solution...So here goes...
I am running Codename 1.2.0 with a ICS Dark theme by gsxrdon. The theme comes with the stock ICS keyboard and a seperate flashable zip for the themed keyboard. When I first installed the theme, I couldn't for the life of me get the keyboard from force closing. I literally wiped and spend hours just to get a stupid keyboard to work and couldn't do it. I tried flashing it directly over the theme, didn't work. Tried just extracting the apk from the zip and throwing it in systems/apps, didn't work. So finally, I though I figured it out. My sheer luck, I had swiftkey enabled as my default keyboard THEN did the swapping of the stock keyboard to the themed version, AND IT WORKED! This was on CN 1.1.4, so this was a few weeks back. This morning, I upgraded to CN 1.2.0 and tried enabling swiftkey and doing the swap again, and it worked again. So I thought I had this all figured out. I ran into another problem when loading apps onto my phone and my reception being all wack, so I restored a nandroid I had of stock 1.2.0. I thought ok, no biggy, I'll just load the theme and the keyboard like I JUST did and be fine right? Wrong. I am getting FC's again the same way I was getting them before. Even when doing the swap with another keyboard enabled, as soon as I go to enable the new themed version, this is what happens...
I really am out of ideas, and nobody seems to have a fix for this. I have had many issues in my days of rooting and romming, from soft bricking to this and usually I find out the issue and it gets fixed by either me, or with the help of this amazing community. I really think this issue is something SO random that it can't be fixed. If anyone has any idea's, please throw them at me. I am sure I tried pretty much everything that is going to be mentioned, but please make suggestions anyways. Thanks.
