Root [THEMED MMS] ICS/JB "Style" with in thread avatars!

Ok, did something stupid...
I extracted the contents of Shiny's Mms.apk and opened LDrifta's in 7zip and pasted the contents of Shiny's files into LDrifta's apk.
I then pushed the file.
It worked, I can now see the new messenger. I tried zipaligning it for good measure, works fine.
Its this supposed to happen?

Btw, nice work Shiny, LDrifta too, can't wait to see what you do to this idea in #2, new kernel either.

Yeah, just figured I'd try something different. I tried to decompile the apks, no problem there...could not recompile.
So, next best thing...

Currently, I am running your #2 2.5 with Fuzzy's KY Jellybean theme and ShinySide's dialer/contacts and messenger.
Wonder if anyone else who was having trouble might have had a similar setup?
 
If it looks like the screen shot in my posst then yes thats the way its suppose to look....Well how Ldrifta and me decided to make it look.
 
This didnt work for me. I renamed original w/. Bak.
Tried to flash it,didnt work. Tried the" copy to system/app" move and that didnt do it either. Wiped dalvik and rebooted. Still nothing. Am i missing something? Or is this the biggest brain fart i have ever had?

use commando and move it to /system/app/ and reboot. ;)
 
I had numerous troubles with flashing some of Shiny's work.
I made that hybrid of a pack to get it working on my system, and it did.
But, now that I have wiped cache, davlik, and reinstalled the ROM, theme, and the zip from this thread, it works just fine.
Before, I wiped the two caches, and it wasn't enough, but a full reinstall of the ROM (leaving data intact) seems to have alleviated my troubles.

Recommend it for anyone who is still having trouble.
