I installed setcpu and noticed that it's not as good as Pete's, but can I simply revert back to what I had by uninstalling setcpu or do I need to run a script again?

just disable set on boot in the settings and reboot your phone.

if you modified the pete file in the xbin directory you will need to push back the unedited file or put back in all the script commands that were taken out.

oh so if your using p3 or belkit say the 1.ghz one it will automatically max to that without the use of setcpu

just without setcpu u cant use profiles

I ran the new "Pete" script provided by Fab, GLD, et al and my Droid is running great....

setCpu is holding to my settings and all is well...

thanks to everyone for their work!

Running the bekit LV 10000 kernel overclocked at 900 max/550 min......

I'm amazed at how super cool this thing is running, especially at rest ....getting 20 degrees C/68 degrees F....have never clocked anything that low....

i find that setcpu slows my phone down. it lags my screens when i'm swiping from one to another. also when scrolling up and down long menus and lists. once i turn it off, its smooth as butter.

anyone think its possible for one of the smart people out there to actually make a script that would allow profiles in some way for cpu

or is this not not feasible

I wanna say its your kernal doing that. I have had problems with every kernal except the 800mhz one. I have gotten yours to work but it makes my phone act weird. Try flashing the 800mhz kernal to see if your phone responses better to it.

I think you're right, fortunately my phone has been fine since it freaked out. If it happens again, I will try the 800Mhz or the P3 1Ghz, which sounds like its getting great reviews with BB so far!

Edit: If everyone could keep reporting their experiences with a P3 kernel and BBv1 it would be awesome!

Edit2: Just read Fab's post at AllDroid regarding NOT setting a sound on the SD card to be the default sound. I think this may have been the problem, changing it now.

For some unknown reason my droid with the NexBeast v1.0 keeps on freezing and restarts itself? Does anyone else have or had this to happen and if so what did you do to stop it. I turned off the SD Notification and it still happens.

I notice that some times when I change the touch screen it will freeze and start over. Did not have this problem with Bugless Beast v1, might go back.

You included the Helix Launcher 1 in the update? How do you change the default home? I remember doing it before, but I cant remember... :/

Hit menu key-settings-applications-manage applications-menu key-filter-all

Then select whatever you are currently using for home, example: helix launcher 2, then press clear defaults. Now press home and it will prompt you to choose your default home.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I installed this yesterday morning and it was running great! Low temps and fast. I decided to up the kernal to 1ghz and now my temps are high 112F. I've tried going into clockwork and wiping format and reflashing the rom and now even with the stock 600 kernal just on idle I hit 100F.
On the last flash I added the new pete script to see if that would help even.

Any ideas???

No I am not using SetCPU anymore, I can't seem to get the profiles to work for me.

Is there something I'm supposed to clear out that I'm not? I've checked the About phone and it reflects the right kernal I'm using. I just don't get the heat issue I'm having at all.

There is (or was) a HTC Sense themed skin for the new BW, but it wasn't actually on the skins list, it was made by the person over at GrafiXpressions - Express yourself in vinyl form!... , there are some other ones on the market from them. Might want to ask if its still available if you're interested.

Edit: Found it!
