Root Themes and being Rooted

[darkcyber]

Ok, I know each of the different ROM's have several custom themes for them, but I have a question about themes on rooted X's. I was playing with ADW Launcher some today and noticed there are a ton of themes for it in the Market.

Can you use those themes on a rooted X or can you use regular themes without any problems or do you have to stay with the themes that are for the specific ROM you are running?

Same question for LPP.

Launcher specific themes and themes for ROMs are totally different. ROM themes effect the framework of the ROM, notification bar, icons, apps, animations etc.

Ahhh, thanks for the info!

Are there any limitations to running themes while being rooted? i.e. can you only run themes that are made for that custom ROM? If you are running DarkSlide, then you can only run themes that are made for DarkSlide.

Yes, the theme needs to be designed around the framework of the ROM or their could be problems. So if you stick to themes for your ROM, you should be ok.
