Themes for Xenforo?

Any word on whether or not we will have the ability to theme the site? it's still butt ugly flat to look at and i think a way to theme the colors, or change the button themes (i still miss the nice 3d vBulletin buttons and despise the flat ui buttons we have now, especially given we have nice polished prefix titles now) would be a nice addition. anyone know when or if this is planned?

If there is even a Firefox extension that can format the way sites are handled i'd be open for suggestions there as well.

I wouldn't mind a theme to make it appear like the old site. Not only is this one a horrid reminder of Facebook (what with the laggy comments, typing lag, slow loading, and even the 'likes' and 'news feed') it's just ugly. i made an effort to make my computers use a nice glossy 3-D UI and most websites are formatted that way by a Firefox extension i got going (part of a theme in Linux--even seems to affect the YouTube site which is a nice bonus) but this site seems to be excepted. in fact pretty much any site running Xenforo ignores the Firefox extension completely. so i have to look at flat, garish UI and an extremely slow site that no matter what i use, Windows, Linux, Android, iOS, it's got this horrible typing lag. the letters appear like a few second after i type them. I have seen some nuances that i do like, such as the Post button is nice and polished, as are the new indicators, prefix titles, but the entire layout sucks IMO.

From some searching I found Greasemonkey is another extension you can use to change the look of websites.

There is no plan on our end ATM, no. I wouldn't rule out additional themes in the future necessarily but I know it's not going to be any time soon.

:(

Do either of those affect website looks? I know for example FB Purity changes the UI of Facebook but I've not yet found one which helps change the hideous default look of Xenforo. I truly miss the simple vBulletin look.

Has anyone been able to test the extensions with this site?

EDIT: stylish doesn't have anything to make it look different. Just hides things.

If you go to userstyles.org, and search for 'XenForo', there are user made reskins for lots of XenForo forums. Just to see if it could be done, I took the number 1 result (Red theme for Xenforo.com) and tweaked the script to apply to AF's domain. So the potential is there, but you'd really have to delve into editing the CSS.

Seems to be limited to color though. I'm wanting to make the buttons and UI more 3D or vBulletin like. I despise the flatness of the new forum.

It can change or add images too (it just so happened my example was of only a colour change userscript), but it would be more difficult. Honestly I don't think there's any easy, low-maintenance solution that doesn't also require a fair amount of familiarity with CSS. Things like FBPurity are only easy to use because someone has already taken the time to do it, and even that requires constant updating as Facebook change their layout.

If you want some company, I also do not enjoy the new look of this forum. Way too much wasted space, and the flat color bars are not good for me. I am pastel color blind and the faded out colors are simply atrocious for me.

I much prefer the simplistic vBulletin approach.

The total absence of signature tools is not good. 55 characters for a signature? honestly.

I'd just love to see the app maintained a bit.
It's all I use and is pretty good for the most part but crashes on me a few times a day.
I've given up sending reports to avoid pissing off the dev lol :D
